Tree Planting & Developing Green Spaces

Volunteers from Ross Care have been planting trees in support of Wirral Council's Eco Schools projects. An empty field in the local area to the head office is undergoing a project to develop a citizen science site with a ‘tiny forest’. The vision ultimately is to include the setup of a container to act as an education hub and a gate to prevent fly-tipping and antisocial behaviour from motor vehicles. The projects objectives include a Tiny Forest being planted and providing Level 4 forest school training.

NHS Approved Repairer team members Laura Dearing and Ken Clarke exchanged their usual office and workshop environments for a day outside equipped with spades! As well as helping to get the Tiny Forest established, the initiative brings the community together to take shared ownership and benefit from the development of the green space.

Further details of the project and the wider initiative can be found here.
